ONLINE WORKSHOP | Empowering a New Generation of Business Angels and Fostering Cross-Country Investments in Europe on October 10th, 2024
Nurturing inclusivity and collaboration in the startup ecosystem, ESIL is organising an insightful workshop titled “How ESIL is supporting Business Angels?“. The online workshop, scheduled for October 10th from 2:00 PM to 2:40 PM CEST, aims to explore strategies for empowering a diverse generation of business angels and promoting cross-country investments across Europe.
The workshop’s proposed agenda will delve into key topics that address the challenges and opportunities faced by business angels in today’s rapidly evolving startup landscape. Led by Luigi Amati, co-founder at Italian Angels for Growth and Honorary President at BAE, the session will feature prominent industry experts who will share their insights and perspectives.
One of the focal points of the workshop will be discussing how to empower a new generation of younger, more geographically diverse, and gender-inclusive business angels. The aim is to encourage greater participation and representation from underrepresented groups, ensuring that the startup ecosystem reflects the diversity of talent and perspectives present across Europe.
Another crucial aspect that will be explored is how to increase cross-country investments between angel investors. By facilitating collaboration and knowledge-sharing among investors from different countries, ESIL aims to create a more interconnected and supportive ecosystem that can drive innovation and growth across borders.
Jenny Tooth, OBE, Vice President of Diversity at Business Angels Europe (BAE) and Executive Chair at UKBAA, will be one of the esteemed speakers at the workshop. With her extensive experience and expertise in promoting diversity and inclusion in the investment landscape, Jenny will provide valuable insights into the strategies and initiatives that can help foster a more inclusive startup ecosystem.
Moreover, Reginald Vossen, President at Business Angels Europe (BAE) and CEO at BAN Flanders, will be joining to share his knowledge and experience in the angel investment space, offering participants valuable insights into fostering collaboration and driving investment flows across borders.
The ESIL workshop serves as a platform for participants to gain valuable knowledge, network with industry leaders, and engage in meaningful discussions on empowering a new generation of business angels and promoting cross-country investments. By embracing diversity and collaboration, Europe’s startup ecosystem can reach its full potential and stimulate innovation and economic growth.
